The needs of the Hotel Portoconte, a prestigious resort located in the bay of the same name and close to Alghero, were to renovate the bar area and cover the new upstairs veranda. To achieve the project, they chose Twist, the bioclimatic pergola that could give the best results since other modules can be easily added to it.
The project was complex and important as they installed 14 pergolas that cover a 340 sq m surface. Six modules were installed downstairs to cover about 150 sq. m. and eight modules were installed upstairs to cover about 190 sq. m. All pergolas are equipped with integrated LED Spot lighting in the blades and RGB lighting along the perimeter.
Problems were successfully resolved, such as installing the downstairs modules inside the existing structural concrete pillars and carrying out the connection of the downstairs modules with a false ceiling with integrated built-in sport lights. Upstairs, the two central modules are higher than the ones on the sides so that the natural light can pass through even if the blades are closed. The two central modules also have a front overhang that has allowed the alignment of the supporting legs with the other modules.
The work was competed in three phases and was carried out by four installers in three weeks.
