Design needs:
The company that owns the building, characterized by exposed brick, typical in old industrial buildings, was looking for a design solution to shade the continuous windows on the facade that is exposed most to the sun. The problem was tied to the aluminum frames, which are heated by the sun, making it impossible to place work stations near the windows.
Project description:
The Gibus Atelier proposed and installed the Tolo GC vertical drop awning patented by Gibus.
The awning had to aesthetically suit the type of facade, apart from being easy to mount and maintain, given the elevation of the installation.
The cloth chosen is Soltis 92, a PVC-coated filtering fabric, which provides shade yet at the same time is bright, thanks tot he micro holes it has, apart from being easy to wash and resistant to atmospheric agents. The 17 Tolo GC awnings were installed full height (11.90 x 3.10h m) in proximity.
In addition, they are Somfy motorized and equipped with radio control, apart from Smoove and anemometric sensor for closing in case of strong winds.
