Outdoor structures

for creating an essential outdoor space for your café, restaurant or hotel

The possibility of enjoying outdoor spaces all year round has become a need for any type of business. This is especially true for restaurants, cafés and hotels, which would be more popular with customers, if provided with a welcoming outdoor area usable in every season.

Find out how to create a tailor-made outdoor area in order to make the most of the outside for your business, guarantee more seating and give your restaurant a glamorous look.

Different versions, same comfort

Any Gibus outdoor structure is customized, based on the available space and the design of the venue, creating only made-to-measure products. Over the years, we have designed different types of pergolas capable of meeting every functional need, guaranteeing high standards of comfort and design:

Sloped pergolas

They are positioned in harmony with the lines of any building. They can be small, such as a small terrace, or as large as a small city square. This type of leaning structure is capable of expanding any space.

90° Pergolas

They support the linearity of the horizon and make a room with a view or a terrace of a restaurant more panoramic, more comfortable and more beautiful. This version is either leaning on the wall or free-standing and it’s exclusively made to measure.

Bioclimatic pergolas

They adapt to the weather conditions, providing a perfect outdoor space both for the hottest days and for when the weather changes and customers need a shelter. Thanks to the roof of adjustable aluminum blades, they create a perfect microclimate. They can be customized and made to measure.

The roof of Sloped Pergolas and 90° Pergolas is made of waterproof technical fabric with aluminum intermediate section profiles. The fabric is made of three layers, capable of creating a darkening screen in the summer to protect from the sun and refresh the environment, but it also provides protection from the rain as the fabric is waterproof. In fact, in the 90° pergola version, the roof drains rainwater towards the perimeter frame, thanks to the special system of bent intermediate section profiles that support the fabric; while, in the sloped pergola version, the inclination makes rain drain towards the front gutter. The roof can be retracted in both versions as it is motorized; consequently, encumbrance is reduced and flexibility is guaranteed.

All types of pergolas can be integrated with side closures, such as sliding glass doors, made with tempered, extra-clear or satin panes sliding on aluminum tracks, to enjoy the view in the colder months; or vertical screens, which can be equipped with different fabrics, are perfect for darkening or shading as well as for protecting the sides of the area underneath the pergola.

Arm awnings: a pleasant alternative

For outdoor spaces where it is not possible to install a pergola, Gibus proposes arm awnings. These shading systems are designed to protect the facade and the external surface of a building from the sun; they are easily installed on small terraces or outdoor spaces and come in two versions:

Cassette box awnings

They are designed to house the fabric inside an aluminum box. When the awning closes, the front fits perfectly with the box, guaranteeing the maximum protection from atmospheric agents and a minimal appearance.

Awnings without cassette box

They have the fabric roll, which remains visible and can be equipped with a cover to protect the fabric from weather.

The fabric is stretched by mechanical arms generating a uniform fabric tension. The fabric can be made of acrylic or polyester. The colors and patterns can be chosen from 600 sample variants, so discovering your preferred style will be very simple.

Both types of motorized arm awnings can be integrated with sun and wind detectors capable of reacting automatically to changes in climatic conditions. The sun detector allows the awning to open in case of sun, thus keeping the house cool and shaded. The second detector closes the awning in case of strong winds to preserve it.

With Gibus, it is possible to make your outdoor area a design icon even in the evening. In fact, different types of lighting are available; for example, LED Spot lights, either with a cold or warm light, can be installed on the intermediate section profiles of the pergola with a technical fabric roof, or they can be integrated in the blades in case of bioclimatic pergolas. Perimeter LED lights are also available and are integrated directly into the structure. Another type of lighting is the RGB Led Strips with colored light, which can be applied on the internal perimeter of the structure. Different types of lighting are also available for arm awnings, depending on the model chosen such as Ambient LED lights, integrated in the arms, or LED spot lights integrated on the front and on the box.
