Project needs
Guest House Hiša Denk was recently completely renovated, transforming the traditional design into a contemporary, minimalist space that marries natural materials, such as the larch façade, with a sleek, modern style, like the floor-to-ceiling windows, to create a warm, inviting interior overlooking the magnificent park that surrounds it.
To maintain the continuity of style, larch was also used to create the arbour on the terrace.

Design characteristics
The architect had initially proposed shade sails to shield the terrace, but this idea was rejected by the client because of the limited functionality and lack of protection from the rain.
So we suggested first Med 85, and then Med Twist. After seeing the renderings created using the Gibus Project program, the client chose the latter.
Med Twist made it possible to meet both the sun and rain requirements of the client, ensure controlled water drainage, as well as leave open the possibility of adding side panels (glass doors etc.).
Since the metal components of Guest House Hiša Denk are anthracite-coloured, we matched Med Twist in the same colour.

By integrating Med Twist into the existing arbour, we were able to keep the original architectural feature, while enriching it with an independent element in keeping with the structure's clean, minimalist lines.
